Product Description
Human Umbilical Vein Microvascular Endothelial Cells were isolated from healthy human umbilical cord tissue. These cells retain endothelial characteristics and are ideal for studying angiogenesis, endothelial barrier function, and vascular biology. Cells are shipped cryopreserved at passage 1. For optimal culture conditions, use Nuvyra Labs Endothelial Growth Medium.

Handling Upon Arrival
Store immediately in a −80°C freezer for short-term use or transfer to a liquid nitrogen tank for long-term storage.
Thawing & Subculturing Instructions
A) Pre-coat T25 flasks with 2 mL Coating Solution, incubate 5 minutes, aspirate, rinse with 4 mL rinse solution, then remove.
B) Thaw vial in 37°C water bath, sanitize with 70% ethanol, and transfer to biosafety cabinet. Add 10 mL Endothelial Growth Medium to flask.
C) When confluent, rinse flask twice with 5 mL rinse solution, add 2 mL Detachment Solution, and aspirate excess within 20 seconds.
D) Incubate 1–2 minutes at RT or 37°C until cells round up, then gently tap flask to dislodge.
E) Add 5 mL Neutralization Solution, centrifuge at 800g for 5 min.
G) Resuspend in 10–15 mL medium and seed 5 mL/flask into 2–3 pre-coated T25 flasks (1:2 or 1:3 split).
H) Change medium every 2–3 days; expect confluency within 7 days.
I) For quiescence, switch to Basal Medium for 12 hours before assays.
Cells are offered for Research Use Only. Not for Clinical Use.
