Product Description

These endothelial cells were isolated from normal human liver tissue, specifically from the liver sinusoidal microvasculature. They provide an ideal model for studying hepatic endothelial biology, drug metabolism, liver-specific inflammation, and immune cell interactions. Supplied at passage 1, these cells are shipped frozen and should be handled with proper cryogenic precautions. For optimal results, we recommend culturing with Nuvyra Labs Endothelial Growth Medium.

Handling Upon Arrival

Immediately store vials in a −80°C freezer for short-term use or liquid nitrogen for long-term storage.


Thawing & Subculturing Instructions

  1. Pre-coat T25 flask
    Add 2 mL of Nuvyra Labs Coating Solution, incubate 5 min, aspirate, and rinse with 4 mL cell rinse solution.

  2. Thawing
    Thaw frozen vial in a 37°C water bath, wipe with 70% ethanol, and transfer cells into a biosafety cabinet.

  3. Seeding
    Add 10 mL of Nuvyra Labs Endothelial Growth Medium to the flask and transfer the cells.

  4. Passaging Protocol

    • Rinse cells twice with 5 mL rinse solution

    • Add 2 mL Detachment Solution, aspirate after 20 sec

    • Incubate for 1–2 min until cells round up, tap to detach

    • Add 5 mL Neutralization Solution, centrifuge at 800g for 5 min

    • Resuspend pellet in medium and seed into 2–3 flasks at 1:2 or 1:3 ratio

  5. Medium Change
    Replace medium every 2–3 days.

  6. Quiescent State Prep
    When confluent, switch to Endothelial Basal Medium for 12 hours before experimentation.
