Product Description

These endothelial cells were isolated from normal human liver tissue and genetically modified to express AEQUORIN-GFP targeted to mitochondria via lentiviral transduction. AEQ-GFP expression enables calcium imaging and real-time mitochondrial dynamics studies. The cells were selected using puromycin and are shipped at passage 1. We recommend culturing in Nuvyra Labs Endothelial Growth Medium for optimal performance and phenotypic stability.

Handling Upon Arrival

Transfer vials immediately to a −80°C freezer for short-term storage or liquid nitrogen tank for long-term storage.


Thawing & Subculturing Instructions

  1. Coat T25 flask: Add 2 mL Nuvyra Labs Coating Solution, incubate 5 min, aspirate, rinse with 4 mL Rinse Solution.

  2. Thaw vial: Warm in 37°C water bath, disinfect vial with 70% ethanol, and transfer into a biosafety cabinet.

  3. Add 10 mL Nuvyra Labs Endothelial Growth Medium to a pre-coated flask.

  4. Subculture when confluent:

    • Rinse twice with Rinse Solution

    • Add 2 mL Detachment Solution, aspirate after 20 sec

    • Let sit 1–2 min, tap to dislodge

    • Add 5 mL Neutralization Solution, centrifuge at 800g for 5 min

  5. Resuspend in 10–15 mL medium and seed into 2–3 new flasks.

  6. Replace medium every 2–3 days.

  7. For quiescence, switch to Endothelial Basal Medium for 12 hrs pre-experiment.
