Product Description
Human Cardiac Microvascular Endothelial Cells were isolated from normal human cardiac tissue and are provided at passage 1 in cryopreserved vials. These cells are suitable for cardiovascular research, drug screening, and endothelial function studies. Nuvyra Labs Endothelial Growth Medium is recommended for optimal growth and viability.

Handling Upon Arrival
Transfer vials into a –80°C freezer for short-term storage or liquid nitrogen tank for long-term storage.


Thawing and Subculturing Protocol

  1. Pre-Coating Flask
    Add 2 mL Universal Coating Solution to a T25 flask, incubate for 5 min, discard excess, rinse with 4 mL Cell Rinse Solution, and remove PBS.

  2. Thawing Cells
    Thaw the vial in a 37°C water bath. Wipe with 70% ethanol, transfer to a biosafety cabinet, and add 10 mL Nuvyra Labs Endothelial Growth Medium to a pre-coated T25 flask.

  3. Passaging Cells

    • Rinse flask with 5 mL Cell Rinse Solution twice.

    • Add 2 mL Nuvyra Labs Detachment Solution and aspirate excess after 20 seconds.

    • Incubate at RT or 37°C for 1–2 minutes. Tap to detach cells.

    • Add 5 mL Nuvyra Labs Neutralization Solution and centrifuge at 800g for 5 minutes.

  4. Expansion
    Resuspend in 10–15 mL medium. Plate 5 mL each into 2–3 flasks (1:2–1:3 ratio). Change medium every 2–3 days. Cells typically reach confluency in 7 days.

  5. Quiescent Cell Prep
    Replace growth medium with Nuvyra Labs Endothelial Basal Medium for 12 hours prior to experiments.
